At EPIC’s General Annual Meeting on July 20th, 2019 in Nederland was a wonderful opportunity to honor Inspiring Women. We celebrated the service of Becky Sawatzky as financial manager. Soila Luna Pineda, General Coordinator of our partner, Fundación Don Sergio Méndez Arceo in Mexico, shared their human rights and agriculture projects. EPIC supporters completed a collage of photos of inspiring women honored over the past several months. Soil spoke on the Roots of the Immigration Crisis: The Reality in Mexico., Sunday in Ft. Collins and Greeley, Monday in Boulder, and Tuesday for KGNU Community Radio in Boulder. EPIC supports partners in Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, El Salvador and Colombia to restore Hope at Home, helping people produce more on their own land and reducing the pressure to migrate in their own country or north. The weekend brought this all together in significant ways.
