The Guatemalan Baja Verapaz Program has 2 incubators which each hold 250 fertile local eggs. The chicks hatch in 21 days and the chicks are then moved to a heated brooder for 2 weeks. There they are kept warm, vaccinated and given a good start with a nutritious concentrate before being taken to the villages and given back to the families who brought the eggs. Keep the incubators and brooder warm and the lights on!
