Graduation events for both Kindergarten and Elementary are joyful! The graduates of sixth grade have scholarships for a good middle school that La Buena Tierra director Lizy Marroquin helped acquire. La Buena Tierra Preschool and Elementary School is in a poor barrio of Cuernavaca, Mexico. Here children from 3 years old through sixth grade receive an excellent education that would not otherwise be available for them. Students at La Buena Tierra students have art, music, PE, and lots of reading, math, and social studies. They can also read interesting books! In their crowded homes, there usually are no books, no computers, few toys, and no yard for play. Parents pay $35 a month and your scholarship provides the additional $420 needed per year.
