Planting Trees in Baja Vera Paz – Arbolitos
EPIC’s program in Guatemala has planted more than 20,000 trees this year to address severe deforestation. Hear the inspiring story of Antonio and Hermelinda, who have a family tree nursery with 5,000 small trees to be planted by their community as soon as the rainy season begins. This is a collaboration between Mennonite Men’s Join Trees campaign and EPIC’s Baja Verapaz: Sustainable Agriculture Program, which brings local experience in developing tree nurseries and successfully planting trees.
