“When the poor believes in the poor, we’ll build the fraternity…”

Soacha, Colombia – Creciendo Juntos – “Growing Together” organizes a communitarian stew (sancocho) on the street for families, adults, the elders, and children. Everyone brings something to share: a potato, a tomato, a carrot, some noodles. They are putting it inside of the pots…Mothers and teens take care of food. The community shares and organizes. They make a line up with their plates and spoons. Children first, of course!

Soacha, Colombia – Creciendo Juntos organiza un “sancocho” comunitario en la calle para familias, adultos, ancianos y niños-as. Todos traen algo para compartir: una papa, un tomate, una zanahoria, algo de fideos. Y lo ponen en las ollas. Madres y adolescentes cuidan la comida. La comunidad comparte y se organiza. Hacen filas con sus platos y cucharas. Los niños son primero!
