Inspiring Words From The Encyclical Letter

Patricio Jacobo, Coordinator, Trainer, and Supervisor of Agricultural Resiliency Trainers  at La Semilla del Progreso in Honduras took inspiration from the Encyclical Letter.  “Thank you for bringing to our attention the Encyclical  “Care for Our Common Home” by Pope Francis. We appreciate your encouragement to use it in our leadership training.  We are very much aware of this teaching document as a guide for La Semilla del Progreso’s work to protect the environment.

Our church is circulating this publication and has a special announcement bringing it to the attention of our members. La Semilla del Progreso will be spreading these concepts in our training of promoters – seeing the earth as our common home from the perspective of Christian faith. This perspective is nothing new.  It has been our conviction for many years. That God made all of creation beautiful has been our understanding and our philosophy, as well as our Christian faith. This encyclical is very important and comes to strengthen us with an ecclesiastical base and authority. It obligates us to rescue and protect that which remains of our natural environment.”
